| Resumo | The aim of this work is verify which areas active focus are more frequent and recurrent in the Minas Gerais state. For this, we calculated the average annual density and recurrence of active focus from the AQUA-M between the years 2008 to 2013, in boxes of 10 x 10 km over the Minas Gerais state. After, the average annual density and recurrence were reclassified into Low, Medium and High. From the combination of these classes, were generated nine classes that represent the frequency and recurrence of active focus. These classes were analyzed by occupation of native vegetation and commercial reforestation. It was found that 7.5% of the native remaining forests are areas with high frequency and high recurrence, providing a scenario of loss of biodiversity. The seasonal Dry Forests, Cerrado and Campo Cerrado and Campo were the forest types with greater density and recurrence. These kind of forest may be considered at higher risk of fire when compared to the other classes. In contrast, the rainforests Forests, Savanna and semideciduous seasonal forests had lower density and recurrence. These kind of forest can be considered lower risk of fire when compared to the other classes. The economic use of forests (Eucalyptus and Pinus) had areas that indicate frequent and recurrent fires, causing economic losses. |
